THE PROJECT
U-Protect is the innovative system that uses the germicidal action of ultraviolet rays (UVC) to disinfect objects and surfaces.
UVC rays, known for their antiseptic power, are able to eliminate 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, including Covid-19 *, in just a few minutes.
* Test carried out on SARS-CoV-2 by INAF and the Biomedical Department of the Sacco Institute in Milan – April / May 2020.
U-Protect is able to disinfect any type of building and vehicle

Eco friendly.
No chemicals, no CO2 emissions that are harmful to humans or the environment.
Natural.
UVCs are reabsorbed by oxygen and ozone present in the atmosphere without leaving traces.
Economical.
Electricity consumption is negligible.
Automatic.
Once switched on, the system does not require any human intervention: the shutdown cycles are fully automated.
UVC TECHNOLOGY
UVC technology: 253,7 – 280 nm, Far UVC 222 nm
UVC radiation is a proven and effective technology for the destruction of microorganisms.
- As we all know, UV rays are a component of sunlight and are an easy way to disinfect surfaces in our daily life.
- Ultraviolet rays are a form of invisible electromagnetic radiation, with a wavelength between 100 nm – 400 nm.
- The first artificial UV light source was introduced in Germany 200 years ago.
VUV (100 nm – 200 nm)
VUV radiation (185 nm) produces ozone which can kill bacteria and viruses also present in the air. However, ozone is dangerous for humans.
UVC (200 nm – 280 nm)
Short wave UV rays, which include the germicidal ultraviolet at a wavelength of 200-280 nm, are used for the disinfection of air, surfaces and water.
In nature they are completely absorbed by the oxygen and ozone present in the atmosphere.
UVB (280 nm – 320 nm)
Small but dangerous component of sunlight. Most of the UVB rays are absorbed by the ozone layer.
Prolonged exposure causes sunburn and can have harmful effects on the skin and eyes.
UVA (320 nm – 400 nm)
Long wave UV rays are responsible for tanning and premature skin aging.
A MORE EFFECTIVE, FASTER AND SAFE DISINFECTION THAN ANY OTHER EXISTING METHOD OR TECHNOLOGY.
The other disinfection methods used today (ozone, sprayers, hydrogen peroxide nebulizers, etc.) have long times and require the intervention of one or more people.
